This privacy policy governs your use of the software application RockLens (“Application”) for mobile devices provided by Livintis W.L.L. The Application is an app that allows users to identify rocks and minerals and provide detailed information about them.

What information does the Application obtain?

• Automatically Collected Information: The Application may collect certain information automatically, including but not limited to the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application. We also collect behavioral application event data for analytics: access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes, and other system activity and information.
• User Provided Data: We collect content submitted by users, such as bug reports, customer support communications, transaction-related information when you make purchases or respond to any offers, and information you provide when you contact us for help. When you register with the Application, you provide an email address and password. Additionally, the Application collects images of rocks and minerals that you choose to upload for identification purposes.

What do we use your data for?

We use this information to enable and improve your experience with our services; to research and develop new services and features; to deliver retargeted marketing on social media; and to fix bugs and issues. If you have created an account and opted in for email services, we will use your email to send you the services you opted in for and for retargeted marketing. We share information about your app use with our GDPR-compliant social media, advertising, and analytics partners to help us improve our services. These services may include:

How can I control what is shared?

You can turn off sharing analytics data at any time using the settings menu of the Application (go to Settings -> Privacy Settings). However, the rock identification feature requires access to your device's camera or photo library, and opting out of this will prevent the app from functioning properly.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

No, the Application does not collect precise location information.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

We share information with third parties only in the ways described in this privacy statement. We may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information as required by law, to protect our rights, protect your safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. Our trusted service providers work on our behalf and adhere to the rules set in this privacy statement.
